Just been into Go Outdoors and accidentally found a load of Vertebrate Publishing guides for just £2 each! They were in the sale section, but not priced up. I got 4, Wales, White Peak, Lakes and NY Moors but they had a few others too.

They don't seem to be online, so you'll have to go into store.

Happy bargain hunting!

Whats happened too VP lately? They are still publishing plenty of climbing and walking books but haven't done a UK MTB book for a while.

Presumably they've just about covered the UK with their current offerings - I think we have most if not all of them 😐

Once you've got to that stage then it's mostly going to be reprints with just occasional changes for errata and the like. There's only so many loops you can create in a guidebook for somewhere like the Hope/Edale area without it looking like you are taking the mickey (looking at you MBR).

The white peak book is a cracker. Over several years I'm working my way through them all, only got about 2/3 left to do. I have all the gpx if you need any as the publisher kindly sent me them all.

I'd love a copy of the Lakes GPX files if anyone has them.

Just searched for this thread to say thanks . I’ve just bought the peaks books (never been, maybe this year) for the princely sum of £4. Proper bargain.

Does anybody have a link to the Lake District GPX's? I've got the book but the GPX's make things much easier!!

Ta!!

I emailed Vertebrate and was told they only have GPX files for a small number of routes and the Lakes isn't one of them 🙁

If you have a pc and t'internet its a five minute job to draw up the route as a gpx in something like bikehike.co.uk

I use ridewithgps.com but no point in reinventing the wheel if someone's already done it for you!!
