Is this the most attritional of the lot ?
Can't say I've really ever got into it like some og the others
I love it, I've ridden it before it became a sanctioned event. I've done it in 40C heatwaves, 6C wintery blasts and only once in rain and that didn't last long. Been splattered so bad had to grab bottles to clean chains and mechs and dribbled so hard I left a clean stream patch all down my chin and shoulders.
I adore it, for me it's the epitome of cycle racing.
Those few years spent in Florence will forever be part of me, the culture for this type of racing is endemic.
This year, I'd really like it to piss down... sorry lads but hey....

Bike packed and flights to Pisa tomorrow am. Watching on Saturday and riding the sportive on Sunday. Looks like heavy shows all day Saturday and sunday. Should be pretty slippy!
