There's SLX 12 speeds around the place just now, less than half the price and do the same job, biketart and a few places seem to have stock.

Are r2-bike any good? Was looking at my
Usual bike-discount but arent even shipping to U.K. at the moment

I see the XT mech is 86 euros on r2
add 12.5 shipping,
plus 20% vat
plus 14-15% customs fee
Plus handling charge

Starts getting expensive

Not sure your maths is right there chap.....
They've already charged 19% VAT over there.
Is the customs fee 14-15%? Genuine question.

@granny_ring yeah i'm not sure on the maths either, think it depends how awake the parcel company is,

in terms of r2-bikes it seems they are letting you deal with the VAT issue

---
r2-bike: Terms of delivery outside the EU: If your shipping address is outside the European Union, our shop will automatically substract the 19% German VAT.
---

hence its being shipped with zero VAT. add 20% import VAT on
83.6 + 12.5 = 96 euro add 20% vat = 115 euro, add shipping fees £8-15.

and yes the customs fee in theory only applies to £135+, but goods made outside the EU, such as shimano, is the extra ballache.

it seems sporadic at the moment, some people are paying fees others are not.
i got hammered on a USA order (80 dollars) last year, ended up costing nearly double.
