I might missed an answer but did anyone received correct 29" version? I had chitchat with them today and they aware of problem but they not sure whether that issue is applicable to all forks or only some of them.
Finally picked up my rev today. Came with two tokens. Not checked yet whether any already installed. Looks a quality fork for 200!
I have a 120mm non-debonair shaft I bought for my pike. Does anyone know whether this would work in place of the debonair shaft the rev came with? Or should i just spend 34 on a new debonair shaft?
Any advice appreciated.
The problem seems to be Sram’s description of the forks which is Yari RC 29+ but wheel size is 27.5. Not entirely crc’s fault but a quick look at an actual fork would have sorted it out.
On a side note mine are going on my Dartmoor primal+ which is for 150mm forks do I just need a new air shaft? Sorry not needed to do a travel change before so new to me.
I was going to keep mine but the yari are 10mm shorter than my 29" forks I have on and are a different offset so my head angle will be steeper, and that's before I shorten my travel to 150mm so mine are up for sale in the next day or so unless crc get back to me to say they have the correct stock at the same price then I will return

I would try the bike on 170mm for a laugh, you might like it. Should give you 1 deg less of head angle but thats partially absorbed by the 46mm offset (assuming you come from less) from a trail point of view.
I have received mine. Again 27.5. I've tried to fit it into standard 29 but there is only 4-5mm of clearance between tyre and fork. Anyone interested in getting rid of his Revs 29 at CRC price and shipped it?
I bought two sets of these. Like all my forks I like to strip them down and make sure oil levels are good.
Well bloody hell... my supposed Debonair forks have the ordinary solo air airshaft. Gits.
I immediately checked the other pair and, yup, they're solo air too!
Those who also got the Yari's might want to check, it's pretty quick and easy to do.
How do you tell which air shaft is fitted? Is the debonair significantly different/better?
I found the same this week when changing the travel on my rev. It's certainly very different to the debonair upgrade I replaced it with. However if you look at the specs for 2018 rev they all spec debonair... and if you look at the service manual for 2018 pike/rev it shows the old style assembly but refers to it as debonair. So yeah, I can't figure it out! My only guess is that the factory installed debonair is different to the upgrade kit.
I think the debonair shafts are different between 2018 and 2019 hence the 2019 forks having debonair printed on the uppers.
2019 should have the new air shaft which you get in the upgrade kit.
I know my 2018 lyriks had the older shaft fitted. I fitted a 2019 and it made an improvement.
Helpful. Thanks.
I was going to change them to 130 mm travel so I guess as long as I get the 2019 air shaft then there is no issue.
As others have found mine is the old style solo air shaft. Replaced it with a 140mm debonair shaft from tft.
Forks sucked down when I let the air out and are still sucking down after the debonair upgrade. Going to try and clear the port by yanking the forks around before stripping them. Joy.
I've had the same issue Benson. I fitted a 120mm debonair shaft and with no compression the fork sucks down to <110mm. Assumed this wouldn't be an issue with the debonair shaft. What is the port you are trying to clear? Is it in the upper tube or on the air spring assembly? Let me know if you have any success with it.
Forks sucked down when I let the air out...
Isn't that just the negative spring still having pressure in? Most airshafts do that when you let the positive pressure to ambient in my experience. That's why you have to pull the shaft quite hard to get it out of the fork leg and there's a pop when it lets go. Unless the Debonair woks differently - I've not worked on one.
Mine is staying sucked down when the positive chamber is pressurised. From reading the fork should be fully extended when off the ground or unweighted with it compressing to the sag point when weighted. The little dimple inside the stanchion gets blocked with grease so the Chambers don't equalise and it stays down. *
Hoping to finish fitting it tonight and report back.
* I may have misunderstood and be talking nonsense.
Sorted mine by removing the cap on the air side and pulling up on the bars while holding the stanchion down. All good now 😎
Davros good to hear its sorted. I messed up fitting the sfn so it's off to the lbs to get a replacement fitted. Hopefully getting it reassembled tonight then going to take the top cap off.
I've got a set of the yaris that u don't want(wrong wheel size). I haven't sent them back yet as I've been away, but if someone wants them, id be happier to sell them for the 200 plus postage?
Blackmountainsrider - just dropped you message re those forks!
Neil
Got mine fitted yesterday and took the air cap off. Kept extending them till I got a slurping sound and they seem to be OK. There's still around 10mm of travel that stays down but that would appear to be standard.
