Just been in the LBS and they've got this deal on what appears to be a very nice Pinarello (although I know nothing about road bikes) at a very mad price.

Cheap Pinarello

Knew it would be the melty one.

It could feel like riding on a cloud of angels farts I'd still not be seen dead on it.

That's a brilliant bargain. I'd be tempted myself if I didn't have something similar in the garage. Mine's about 9 years old with Campag Record 10 speed (never bettered) and it rides like a dream.

It’s rare that you look at a £4,500 bike with that amount off and still think “absolutely not”

It'd have to go completely the other way for me - I'd need to be paid £1500 to ride that abomination.

Some manufacturers swear by steel. Others say carbon is best. Only pinarello uses Mr Tickle's arms

Why not? (must have Corona 😉 )
But description is very vague which year are these bikes?
And the sizing are they the CF or CC values??

I think it's a 2013 model year. Same shape as my Prince, 2010 vintage I think.

Whilst it’s a brand new bike the frame is an 8 year old design and the groupset whilst very nice is 4-5 yr old design. It’s wheels and tyres are average and it’s all pinerellos own finishing kit. So 1500 is about right to be honest.
