I don't buy the modded welly for urine release concept.

Going by the lack of tea references I reckon it to be a prototype intravenous brew drip ๐Ÿ˜†

Enjoyed the show and I'm feeling particularly proud to see a couple of my Dads paintings on display in the background at Guys house ๐Ÿ™‚

So what's the title of the sequel?

" Guy does Miles quickly"

Pals for life!

Great show ๐Ÿ™‚

E45 is methanol...or is it ethanol..? Anyway, it's what Guy's Volvo runs on.

You didn't really beat the tandem 24hr record though, did you? It's a new record for a two person HPV 24hr ride.

It's got two people, so it's a tandem.

The term tandem refers to the seating arrangement (fore to aft, not side by side)

sez wiki

Not knocking the obvious physical achievement, just being a pedantic nob for the sake of it.

Wiki is talking bolocks. A tandem is a cycle with two people. Nothing to do with riding position.

It's a tandem tricycle isn't it?
According to the CTC that's a different category from tandems.

And: The use of recumbent machines, protective shields, windbreaks or other means of reducing air resistance is prohibited.
So it's not a national 24hr time trial record, still a top effort though.

Because tricycles are generally slower than bikes. Though they have advantages for things like this.

If you're gong to start down the road of saying it's not a proper record, then you end up saying that only records ridden on Penny Farthings count - because every bicycle after then is a technological improvement.

Fantastic effort, and now I know why Mike was unusually cagey about what he'd been up to recently ๐Ÿ˜‰

But it is a record though isn't it? I don't think anyone said it wasn't?

Yes, it's a record for furthest on a tandem in 24 hours. Not a record for furthest on a partcular type of tandem made out of certain materials and of a certain shape.

It's a long-distance 24-hr tandem record.
Anyhoo, I've just watched it, and it was huge fun, proper lol telly. Congrats, Terrahawk, and to Guy and the whole team involved, that really was most entertaining. Nice to see my local circuit being used, I thought it was Castle Combe in the opening bits. Must have been fun getting the recumbent round Quarry Corner; was that where you had your big, noisy off?
Catches lots of people, that one! ๐Ÿ˜€

Caught up on it last night after I had to suffer the X-Factor.

Was a great effort there by you both, I stopped watching Guy Martin programmes as he became his own stereotype. But that was much better as there wasn't the over the top, tea, proper job and bodge in a workshop references.

That'd be E85. I doubt you want to get them mixed up...

Good job we haven't claimed a national TT record then.

Good TV, I have to say though, the thing that impressed me the most was the home made heat chamber ๐Ÿ˜ณ

If Guy keeps those kilos off it might help on his proper bike.

Brilliant telly. Proper bunch of engineers, geeks n creative thinkers.

Terra hawk and guy were a proper giggle, and by heck you two are tough as nails.

Nice one Terrahawk and Guy. Really good tv and properly funny too. I can imagine it was a proper giggle filming it too. There's a few serious 'info' bits where Guy is looking serious and Terrahawk is biting his lip on the verge of cracking up... ๐Ÿ™‚

Andy Wilkinson was also tubed up for his LEJOG Human Powered Vehicle record attempt (at one point he held both the HPV and upright records) because his team worked out that getting in and out of the fairing for pee stops would take too long. Initially they routed the waste tube out of the side of the fairing. However, during testing , they discovered that the stream of fluid crept along the surface until it hit the exposed section of the rear disc wheel and was carried up into the fairing, bathing Andy in a spray of his own urine as he pedalled at 30+ mph.

That was a very enjoyable telly programme.
Congratulations to Jason and Guy.

Although I can't really work out why you didn't just wee into each others shoes ๐Ÿ™‚

I've just seen this.
๐Ÿ˜€

What a great show, well done you lot.
I hope it was as much fun to make as it was to watch.

We use those Conveen catheters at work - yes, they always leak.
Very awkward if you catch a few stray pubes when putting it on, so I'm told. ๐Ÿ™‚

TBH, if I want to feel completely out of control whilst sitting in my own piss I usually drink Holt's Diamond.
Now THAT would be a TV show.
