Bought a pair of, ahem, 'Ferrari' sunglasses for 8 euros in Greece and sent them to Cilary Blue last Friday (in the box they'd sent me). On Tuesday they came back with Transitions lenses, cost £60.
So that's a pair of Transitions prescription riding specs for about £65. Happy with that 🙂
Is it a good idea riding with transitions?
I'm looking at getting them to reglaze some Oakley Plates that I've had for ages and which fit beatifully... Just not sure which lenses I'd go for!
I've been riding (and skiing) with Transitions lenses for years, but my old pair were, essentially, f*^!ed. They were from Optilabs, and were at least three times the price...
I went for the hard coat anti-reflective ones:

Cool, will look into that in a few months, prescription in my riding glasses is about 5 years old!!! Seems to do the job though.
Any idea if they would do some lenses for my Oakley Flack Jackets? They are removable lenses, at the moment they are non prescription and I wear contacts but it would be good to have another option.
what's your prescription, nettles? I'm +4 and +5 and normally pay a LOT for the "extremely thin and light", have been wondering about transitions-style lenses
Oh and how do the transitions cope when night riding?
They do Jawbones (which are removable aren't they?), so I can't see why they wouldn't do Flak Jackets
My prescriptions only small, +1ish, but they reckon these ones:

I tend not to use my transitions for night riding. You can get away with it, but it's not ideal
