Is it a good saddle?

Flites are very similar to the Fizik Antares, both are relatively flat and have a 'T' shspe, i.e. the nose transitions to the wings quite abruptly and relatively far back.

I find the T shape is a revelation, so if you haven't tried it then a £25 Flite could be the perfect way to do so 👍

I used to swear by Flights when £26 always seemed to be the going price (many years ago), so these are definitely worth a good. Will likely need some breaking in, of your arse, though

There’s also this one slightly cheaper

https://www.wiggle.com/p/selle-italia-flite-flow-bike-saddle

I love these, I have them on two bikes and I saw the PSA and almost bought another just as a spare. BUT it’s a wide which I guess is the reason they’re undesirable/cheap.

As usual, it looks like a great bargain if that’s the seat you need. But don’t buy it unless you need a wide seat (IMHO).

Ah, new Flites not old Flites. I shall curb my enthusiasm.

Yeah, I'd love an original Flite again, they seem to do them but I'm not £90 keen to own one again...

I know someone who needs both a wide and a new saddle. Ta, that's saved me a few £££'s 👍

The key to original Flite’s comfort was flexibility - both the titanium rails and plastic hull flexed, which was its downfall as even under my lardy 60kg, I broke a few. Magnesium rails means the new one is probably board-stiff

I have one of the manganese railed flow flite saddle. the padding is very dense and the saddle isn't that flexible. I also found the nose a bit on the wide side where it flares, so didn't really get on with it.

The Flite TM, as al of the TM saddles, I recall, is designed with those of us with larger thighs. so more of a T shape as mentioned, but also a narrower nose.

I suspect the padding will still be pretty firm and the saddle will be fairly stiff though.

Cheap SLRs as well.  I don't understand Selle Italia though - their range is huge, which surely makes little sense from a stockholding point of view, and it changes nearly every year.  The descriptions are crap so it's really difficult to work out the differences between them.  I'm after an SLR Boost Superflow (big cut out).  They market a 'lady' version and a 'gravel' version and a 'road' version -all of which are described as having light gel padding, fibra tek covers and ti rails.
