Are the bearings in these as shit as v12s?

Are they shit? I've got no issues with the bearings in the three pairs of v12s on my bikes.

I've had three different generations of v12 and the pedals have all developed the bushing (ok, bushing, not bearing) death rattle in about 6 months.
It was a genuine question, not just a pissy remark, which is what it obviously looks like!

My Superstars on the other bike have lasted much, much better.
Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of DNR products that I love and have owned over the years, but for me the v12s just don't stack up against the competition. I like the shape of the vaults, but if the sealing is like the v12s then that's a deal breaker for me.

My Vaults have lasted better than the last set of Superstars I had, which died quite quickly. I found the older Superstars lasted better. I might've changed the bearings on the Vaults, or at least cleaned 'em, but I might not have.

I ordered some of these, as I have Vaults on both my other bikes. Does anyone know what they've changed for the v2?

The photo on the site shows the standard black pedal but labels it as the brendog (brendog has a black axle / pins)

Anyone know which it is?

Did anybody else order the mag pedals?

I have had my order cancelled due to no stock today.

Had this choice recently. The advice I got on here was that the MG were a bit soft for Rocky peak riding so I got the brendogs.

Alex, the Vault V2's are mechanically identical to the V1's, just new colours and graphics, and the pins are black instead of silver/blue. I bought some orange Vault V2's last month, and rather nice they are too with the black pins. Same brilliant build quality. Best flats on the market IMO.

I ordered some of the Mags a few weeks ago, same deal, and got an email a few days later saying they were actually out of stock.

Finally picked them up from Millets. They were meant to be standard black Vaults but instead I got black Brendogs. Trying to decide whether to get the standard pins for them or not...

So, on further inspection, all the pins are the same apart from the middle four on each side (which are the thinner spikier 'moto' pins, fractionally taller than the flipped pins that are normally in this position). I think they'll be cool. There's enough spare moto pins to change all the pins to them, if I wanted to.

Matt black with a black axle looks good - they'll probably look thoroughly beaten up after no time, like my other black Vaults.

One observation - I think they have a new gasket on the axle-bush opening - I'm sure it's a different shape to the old triangular-ish cross-section O-ring, looks more like an M-shape cross-section now.
