PSA 160mm of travel for £159

Good point above about not going too early.
I was tempted with the Lyriks but what I really want is the older Pike with the Charger 2.1 so I can run it at 150mm. There must be someone with some stuffed down the back of some racking...

Those lyrics will do 120 to 180 apparently, with the right air shaft, obviously

My Lyrik Ultimates arrived today. Planning to drop them to 150mm.

Decals are green and they weigh 2047g. My Pike Selects (prev gen) weigh 1880g.

That swarm link for decals was a bit iffy on my phone, I just went on eBay the other day and googled lyrik decals and got to those £6.50 ones within a few pages, metallic ones are a bit more but the guy's away at the moment.

Above should be searched not googled, too late to fix it now, DOH.

For anyone who got their Yari, what colour are the decals please?

Decals are bold but colour is not bright, almost bronze, kind of match old non-black stantion colour. IMG_20231216_180242

If anyone happened to get a 160mm 27.5 Yari and ends up not wanting it and fancies passing on the saving I'll happily take it off their hands, that price was too good 🙂

I've received my lyriks today, only just though judging by the flimsy ripped up bashed box exposing exactly what's inside, thanks for that shockingly bad packaging job CRC and the Evri depot apes.
Mine came with quite nice metallic decals in mid grey and gold, lyrik being the grey bit.

@noeffsgiven

Are yours 27.5?

My 29 have the green decals, which shouldn’t be a problem for me as they’re going on a moss green Big Wig, but i’m not normally one for colour coding stuff so I’ll probably change them

My 27.5 Lyriks have silver decals so I’m chuffed with that. Got them for £280, but they are now up at £349

Thanks all. Yes got my 29 Yari with white RS logo and light grey Yari logo. A really good match for the monochrome white Big Al.

I've spent several days pondering those Lyriks and I also missed out. I have no one to blame but myself. Except maybe the person who suggested that once the Lyriks were gone, the Zebs would be released.

I can’t imagine anyone other than CRC/W have sold any forks during this whole period, if I was a bike shop or TFTuned I’d have bought the lot.

They found some more down the back of the shed by the look of it as about 12 in stock as of now

I was sorely tempted by the Lyrik's and the Zeb's But I've got to many 'spare' forks from previous PSA's and tbh something like another Exposure Toro or even a six pack would be of more use.

I pondered, was too late for the cheaper price and then too late for the higher price, but the disappointment taught me I did indeed want them, so I've now ordered from the few extra they've found. Currently on 2015 pikes with a poor service history so it's going to be an interesting update!

Just been for a blast out with my son to try his new yari forks and they developed a rattle half way round, on inspection it was the tokens had come loose and fallen out of the top cap. One of the tokens had smashed , could be a one off but might be worth checking before you ride your fresh forks.

My Yari was waiting for me when I got back from Xmas at my folks.

Thanks again for the PSA, I know we've got used to cheap deals in recent months but this was a (Christmas) cracker.

😀

@HoratioHufnagel interesting what you say about the Zeb R, having bought one myself but not tried it yet. I wonder if they would be improved by fitting the TruTune insert, given what @Ben_Haworth has to say about them.

Has anyone who bought the yari dropped the  lowers to see what air spring is needed?

Ideay want to drop mine to 130's if possible but unsure on what air spring is needed?

In what sense? It comes with a C1 airshaft, but any Yari/Lyrik shaft should fit (I think!). I actually prefer the B2 design, bigger negative air volume so it sits into it's travel a bit more, can't find a 180mm one though 🙁

I assume this is what is needed https://www.biketart.com/products/rockshox-debonair-c1-air-spring-upgrade-kit-lyrik-yari-a1-2016?variant=40808523530419

130mm for such a burly fork sounds almost contradictory although I can see why you would want to comply with a frame's geo.

I’ve got a set of Yari’s that I paid £200 for from CRC.

They were a knee jerk purchase so I’m going to send them back unless someone on here wants them.

£205 posted to part cover postage.

i would happily convert them to any travel if you send me the airshaft and you’re not comfortable doing it.

PM me if interested. Cheers.

Has anyone seen anywhere with stock of the 140mm air shaft for the Yari?

I’m not having much luck finding one so far apart from a German store where they want £130 postage!!!

I think I have a 140mm B1 airspring if it's any use.

Lyrics are here! Green will go well with my Decathlon ebike which is a kind of sludge brown. Packaging was terrible and it looks like the end of the steerer has been scraped along the ground.
It will be coming off anyway and thankfully there’s no other damage.
Should be a massive improvement over the 35 gold, might keep an eye out for a hardtail to pop them on, alongside all he other bits I’ve bought’just in case’. Cheers OP

@rockthreegozy

I think these use a C1 air spring, but I'm not 100% sure and I don't actually know the difference.

I'll give J-Tech a call when they reopen and see what they say it needs.

@Crossed, either will work. They offer slightly different feels, the B1 sits into the travel a bit more so arguably better small bump performance and the C1 sits higher so is perhaps a more racy or sporty feel..

I'll hunt it out and you can let me know either way after speaking to Jtech etc

Not much info online about them. For a cheap hardtail i am building

They're a bit crap according to most reports, but that price is less than an airshaft for some forks, so might do you fine on a cheap bike.

Just be aware these have a 1.8" tapered steerer
