[Closed] Protecting a joplin from slop. who does and how?

Not talking about the stanchion only, also talking about the actuation pin. Reason i ask is that mine had loads of mud in/around it last night when converting over to a remote.

have been religious about cleaning the main tube and seal but forgot about the actuator. converted it to a remote and it doesn't go up. sent it back to CRC 1 week of december and still waiting for a diagnosis...

in the future it will be cleaned in the same way as the other parts of it with a brush and detergent they sprayed with silicone.

I have suffered on the joplin 3 buggered up seal round the actuator

I have the main shaft covered with an old fork gaiter. The top of which is cable tied over some inner tube at the back which is stretched over the top of the post and has a small slit in it through which the lever pokes out and the end of the inner tube comes back down at the front of the post and is also cable tied under the fork gater.

Looks shite but also keeps it out until I can afford a new frame which I can fit a Reverb into....
