itt seems this is now possible as its now made by shimano themselves but every time it gets up to 42t it gets stuck n wont come back down,, fine changing all the way thru just this,, what am I doing wrong at 1 am !

if it's getting stuck on the largest sprocket is the top jockey wheel on your mech too high/close to the sprocket?
B-tension can lower it as can a shorter chain (as it pivots the mech cage)

How are you doing 10 speed XTR up to 42t? Only the 11 speed and the new 12 speed XTR will go that big

@steve_b77 SLX and Deore 10spd cassettes available in 11-42t and also Sunrace.
