ok - i need to change my freehub body - but is it an easy job?

i know how to take the freehub off the wheel, but do i need to change any bearings over or does the freehub come as a complete unit that can be just slotted on?

any help would be very much appreciated!

ta

Ben

You can buy a complete unit which just slides on, but its very easy to knock the bearings out with a punch and drift them back in with an appropriately sized socket ๐Ÿ˜€

Why do you need to change it? Bearings or pawls? One of the advantages of the hope is all parts are easily available and it is easily rebuildable

well ive just bought the full steel freehub body kit, so ive got the whole lot - including 3 bearings i think.

just wondering if i'll need to do anything other than pop the freehub back on?

you need the tool to snap the seal back i think. the hope website gives a simple walk-through video in the technical section.

Make sure theres the tiny little metal spacer on the axle before you slot it on, or else it wont work, but yeah, apart from that just slot it on and twist a bit. Squirt some wet lube on the pawls too.

I second that! No tools needed for the freehub body!
