Haven't done much riding for a while owing to ill health so was shocked today to see all the logging going on in Cottingley Woods.

Just out of interest was it a muddy hell or was stuff still frozen?

Absolutely, Dame Eaton cashing in, her trees, her logging, no worries. The mud was crunchy on top treacherous sloppy underneath. I was there at midday just as everything was melting. No doubt in another couple of hours it will be proper frozen again.
