I say potentially because things just don't add up. There's a guy near me advertising on FB. Theres a brand new not even built up Nukeproof Scout and a new Scout frame. I've asked him.if there's any receipts and paperwork and there isn't. He doesn't have a shop and says he buys in bulk hence no paperwork. All seems a bit suss to me. I know there's been a few Bike shops raided recently. Anyone know if Scouts were among the bikes stolen?
Buys in bulk so no paperwork? I admire his brazen bollocks.
I'm not normally one to call foul, but as desribed definitely sounds dodgy.
He's actually got 2 full Scouts and the frame for sale. Plus a load of other bike bits
Looks very dodgy
Interesting, as I know Scout's are in short supply.
Not a huge amount of Nukeproof dealers around in comparison to other brands.
Suppose he could have gotten them from the CRC eBay store - but they're usually incomplete or ex demo bikes.
The whole no paperwork seems fishy though.
Bikeactive had a break in around the start of first lockdown last year and they stock Nukeproof.
Would they keep hold of them that long before trying to offload?
Yeah that looks properly shifty. Brand new set of wheels too, but interestingly they are another Hotlines supplied brand
Say you're interested; ask to see the bikes; pretend to inspect frame(s); turn upside down; clock frame number- usually stamped on underside of bb shell.
If filed off, definitely nicked.
If visible, check online for stolen bikes; will post which sites to use for checking a little later.
Saw these on Facebook Marketplace the other day. Definitely no way he’s trying to shift a load of stolen kit.
Anyone up for a STW group hug equivalent of stupid messages until he gets fed up and removes the listings?
The guy in the link lives pretty close to the CRC warehouse...
naffa, what part of the world are you in?
Box in the pic says 'return' on top, which suggests where he may be getting his stock from.
He either works for or has a mate who works for CRC. Too blatant to be shop stolen.
