Need to post a pair of 29er wheels.
Who is best currently to use and what's the best way to package them up of I don't have a wheel box ( I have a bike box though )

I recently sent a pair of 29er wheels by royal mail tracked and signed with insurance of £300; delivered in 3 days for about £20.
Got 650b bike box from lbs; made protective 'sleeve' for hubs; plenty of folded cardboard in the box to reinforce top, bottom, ends & sides of box.
You can get cardboard from local store - i got some for free from john lewis.
Duct tape to seal the box.
Drove to local parcel force depot; easier than carrying to post office.
Job done.
myhermes here, way cheaper.
Plenty hate them tho.
Always used Parcel Force 48. You can get a discount card from the post office counter which has a code on it for first time use. I would adapt the box you have to fit. Wrap the wheels in bubble wrap if you have some to stop them moving about
