Use a box. Maybe some bubble wrap too.

Go to your LBS and grab a box and stuffing that they received their frames etc in. Buy something off the shelf or get the mechanics some beer / biscuits so as not to take the pi55.

Most couriers charge the same - not much difference between them.

right I was maybe not quite specific enough

I am proud owner of said box and bubblewrap - more looking at courrier options. I usually use Hermes but said box is too mas grande (big)

Serious answer, paisley freight. Top tip, don't use their automatic "mountain bike" option either, use exact measurements and it'll be nearly half the price. (Around £13 for a full bike).

They contract out to TNT in my experience (4 times) and never had a problem.

I normally just use Parcelforce, but recently someone bought a frame off me and used Senditnow and they seemed really good.

I just paid £17 for with 'Parcel force 48 large' only insured for £200 though would have had to pay more for more cover.

I was worried they would confiscate it due to shock but no problems!
