Sold a bike on ebay - the winner lives in Republic of Ireland !!!

Is this going to be a pain ?

ANyone done this before ?

I bought one off here from Jim Berresford (sp??), which he sent from the North to the South

From memory it cost about £37 and there were no probs this end, but he did pack it very well. Was a Scott Ransom with some spare bits so it wasnt light

Sold one on ebay,quoted off parcel force to deliver it but when it came to booking they said it was too large.Had to ring around couriers and ended up paying £87 48 hour delivery,had quotes up to nearly £200. Sadly the likes of send it now . com done deliver to ROI.

You could ask the person you sold it to where they live, if near to the border and agree to travel to collect you can send it to a P.O. box in a post office on the border... I've done this before when selling to a guy that lived in Sligo. The post office were very co-operative.

cheers folks - he will have to pay what ever it costs but it looks like its going to be a nightmare !

he appears to live nr Dublin so no where near the border !
