Just been setting up a set of post mount, the pistons appear all the way in yet it appears i will need to use shims on the adaptor. Is this normal? I am using a hope rotor and brakes are shimano but thats not such an uncommon pairing.

Often have to do it, you'd think if they were making slotted mounts, that they'd slot them far enough to cope with manufacturing tolerances.

thanks for the replies, i don't mind doing it just thought that was the point of post mount, the rear one has worked but front needs a little tweak. i think if i were using shimano splined rotors i might have been okay.
