As title really, anyone done this or know that it can be done?
Assuming that it's an internal parts job if it is actually possible.
'07 TALAS are 3 step adjustable 100-120-140 via the dial on the top of the LH fork leg, if your fork is an earlier model then 130 is the max travel.
hmm, owners manual and previous owner indicate that these are supposed to be 07's but as you say dial say's 130 as max setting.
Does the travel adjust in 3mm increments?
All the trek fuel ex's came with custom forks, with just 130mm travel. I would presume that is what you have...

If its off an '07 Trek fuel I seem to remember reading a mag review saying they bought the previous years 90-110-130mm internals for the talas equipped bikes
-h. yes the forks only have the 3 settings , they're really nice forks, 90-110-130 but the jump to the more modern versions seems to be ridiculous in pricing.
Its only 10mm, so its probably not worth the hassle or expense. I'd imagine you'd need to replace the talas bits, which aren't cheap!
