Bored at work waiting for a part to arrive (it's in Birmingham at the moment, but I'm in and need it in London!), so tell what's the strangest or most dangerous thing you've ever poked with a stick & did you get away with it?

Dr Harold Shipman...........luckily he had just put a couple of grannys to their eternal sleep and was thus satiated........could have been nasty otherwise.

My dad (and a few other mates) used to get stags out of old ladies gardens in winter by poking them with a ladder, that looked pretty dangerous to me.

Egyptian spitting cobra...

... I didn't realise it could have blinded me before killing it with a big stick.

I made a belt out of it 🙂

You beat it with a stick and tied it round your waste? Not really just poking then!

A "dead" brown snake by a salt lake 200k from Adelaide.

I also enjoyed as a child throwing stones at bull's balls in fields, and seeing if I could out run them.

Not poking exactly, but used to get strings of jellyfish stings on fishing lines, sometimes they'd get blown onto you, dry out then re-apply said sting when you got in the bath later. Ahh summer days
