Cancelled a couple of weeks ago, so its back on for this weekend. Looks like its going to be cold and windy.

Whos going

We will be travelling up Friday night, hopefully I will get a couple of days riding in before another operation on my foot next week which will keep me off the bike for a while.

Our daughter will need to decide on the day if her shoulder will be up for it

I'm there, trying my first mtb race since an aborted stab at xc in 1998 ๐Ÿ™‚

The megavalanche doesn't count, that's having a week of mucking about in the alps...

Looking forward to it, I was up there the two weekends before the cancellation, snow one week and very wet T'other. Early dart from work to now sort the bike out.

Steve

Good luck! It was wet as a very wet thing last year, IIRC they had to reroute stage one and shut half the last stage completely due to the risk of soggy trees falling on top of people. I decided not to bother this year on account of not owning an enduro canoe.

I was up at Gisburn Tuesday afternoon.

Apart from a few puddles here and there it was in good condition.

A small section in the trees had a bit of mud but still rideable.

Good luck and enjoy.

We went up Friday night, did a bit of riding yesterday. The conditions gotย worse in the evening and deteriorated over night. Was the right call this morning.

Unfortunately there was a bad crash up there yesterday.

Extremely fast young lad, PMBA ambassador and Orange Bikes rider Callum Russell sustained a very bad injury to his spine. He is in surgery today. Fingers crossed for him.
