It’s a Whyte T129

I bought this last March from bikes n gear in Knutsford. I swapped the wheels out straight away for Purple PRO4s on Tech XC rims. I also changed the chainset out for a lovely hope one. Bars were changed to carbon Renthal Fat Bar lite and it has sexy Tan wall ardents on.

its done maybe 200 miles (if that) and is pretty much immaculate. I haven’t ridden it this year at all!

Can people give give me an idea of a fair sale price so I can’t stick it on the Classifieds please?

thanks,

Andy

If you don't want to lose a fortune, stick the original wheel and crank back on it and sell the hope stuff separately. Upgrades don't generally add a huge amount of value as it's not like the new owner somehow gets any value out of the old chainset (i.e. bikes are never worth Bike price + upgrade cost).

£1200? Usual advice is half the new value in the first year and adjust based on condition so probably a little more than half.

Size? There's some small's in the sales for £1550 so if it's a small then price it lower.

Depends how quickly you want to sell it....

Your upgrades are only worth something for someone who want's them.

Your also hitting the middle of loads of the mid travel Whyte's being discounted at the moment...

I paid £1300 for a 2 yr old T-130 because i REALLY wanted a T-130 and it was driving distance but I was very specifically looking for a T-130... and I probably slightly overpaid based on if I'd been more flexible.

YMMV and all but somewhere a bit above that would seem achievable more quickly..

Thankyou. I’ll take your advice and stick the original kit back on and sell the upgrades separately.

Yep, you might even find the bike easier to sell without upgrades...

It's a great 1st FS bike but you might find people without more in-depth knowledge are wary of 'upgrades' (less so classifieds here at STW)... whereas the wheels and bars are desirable as they are.

I did note they were discounted at the moment but hadn't realised as low as spoon found...
