[Closed] Planet X - Fail to meet delivery date

Having been considering building himself a Cyclo X bike, on Thursday this week my son ordered an XLS from Planet X.

They e-mailed to tell him that it would be built on Monday (next week), but then sent him a dispatch notice yesterday (Friday) to say the bike would be delivered today (Saturday) which it was.

I don't know what the world is coming to when a bike arrives two days earlier than originally notified.

It's a really nice bike and is already well splattered with mud after a 20 mile on / off road shakedown run.

Hopefully Planet-X can sort you out with some compensation for the extra weekend of use the bike has now had

Maybe we could have the forum censored to reflect only your views and experiences.

Compensation?

Hmmm, good plan, that'll teach them, what with their over efficiency and having stock in the warehouse.

The most amazing thing was that Yodel delivered it (in a box the size of an aircraft carrier) on time and undamaged.

+1 for delivery times, was told a three week build time and got phone call a week later to say my new london road was ready. The world's gone crazy!

Two friends, two orders of £1k+ bikes, both late, badly packed when they did arrive which let to damage. All checklist points checked off as past but gears and brakes not set up properly etc, etc. Both had to be sent back for fixing and so ended up over a fortnight late. Some minor compensation was accepted in both cases but neither realky happy with service or excuses.
