looking for a new pair of 130/140mm air forks. 15mm with lockout.
the 140mm revs I had on my ventana 5 years ago, were pretty dam good. but like I said 5 years ago.
the pikes on my specialized I had last year, were not so good. needed plenty of air in them to stop them sagging, but then they refused to give up the travel. to be fair I did not use them for long.
1 of the 3 I mentioned or is there some others that may be worth trying.
Pikes with tokens fitted for a big lad. 5 minute job.
I would plump for the Yari. Stiffest fork of the 3 and you can still add tokens if the new Motion Control damper is too linear for you.
what do the tokens do?
Have a look here for info on tokens.
Buy em now b4 Brexit pushed prices up !!
my spesh came with a bag with bits in....they were in it. wondered what they were.... ๐
For me...Pikes, yaris, rev in the that order.
Pike 1st as the have the better internals, but Yari over Rev's as there a 35mm chassis.
Pikes. But they're not the bargain they once were.
It might be a better idea to go with the Yari and to buy a new damper at some point down the line. It's marginally stiffer than the Pike but comes with the Motion Control damper as standard. The good news is that you can upgrade later. The Yari is the fork bargain of the year IMHO.
