Yes it was solo ride and it was bit wet under foot, I did discover a nice bridleway between the villages of Newby and Clapham called Laithbutts Lane which was worth doing!

Nice one - my gf used to live in Bentham and her brothers still do - do you have a map of the route you took?

I thought you meant Clapham in London..

I was expecting shots of police tape, chalk lines, blood, etc...

The standard of photography seems to have improved ๐Ÿ™‚

I think I've followed your route on the map, and I wonder if the old railbed across Whinney Mire might be usable ? Unless the FP to Newby works ?

Well thank you Simon! Yes you can follow track pass Goat Gap over Newby Moor to A65 you do have to cross small stream but Newby Moor is Right to Roam land.
