I've just renewed.
Quotes for joint House and Contents were £450-750 region with usual suspects of Aviva, Nationwide and AXA.
Cheaper providers refused to cover the bikes, those who covered the bikes were (very) expensive on the house.
So I've split it for first time in years.
£120 Aviva contents, bikes upto £4k, and they know we've got 9 bikes, plus two students covered away from home (incl. the bikes).
£150 Direct Line home insurance, which is same cover as three 'quality' names on paper.

Sheila's Wheels Unlimited buildings cover, alternative accomodation cover, new for old contents cover , bikes up to £4k . Total cost £202
