Just booked a cottage above Gunneside for a few days later this week.

Any hints on decent routes? Walking and riding, as detailed or as vague as you like!

Great Shunner fell looks like a good thing to get up, especially with a round trip via Hardraw Force and Aysgarth.

OS on bikehike says long distance footpath. Is it still? - I've read some things about it being bridlified? or is the bridleway a separate route?

Thanks all!

Dream on in Yorkshire! You have to wait for the landowners to die.

Whatever you do, make sure you visit the Bridge Inn, in Grinton. Also the Black Bull, Reeth. Superb food 'n' beer!

Oh dear, I wish I could do the linky thing from Multimap. Why not call at Stuarts place at Fremington, http://www.dalesmountainbiking.co.uk/
Grab a coffee & I'm sure he'll keep you right.
