[Closed] Penmachno next week, is it still going to be wet?

Thinking of taking Rock Jnr to Penmachno before he starts back at school. Only been the once before and thought it was pretty good fun but jeeez it was wet, riding through what felt like mountain streams that were actually the trail. That was in September, after what I recalled was an averagely wet/dry summer.

Thanks

You could stick Penmachno in the atacama desert and bits of it will still be wet. Iirc the new loop is worse than the older one.

Never been dry when I've been (probably 30 times over last 10 years or so). The "newer" first loop is wettest.

Always wet, even in a drought.

To offer counterpoint; I've done it twice, and both times it was relatively dry. Pretty sure the bit in that picture above was a stream before it was a trail, and its just been usefully re purposed.

Its been a scorching weekend; if the rain holds off I'd expect mostly dry trails. Its a great trail too; one of my favourites.

Rode it last September it was dry as a bone so go figure. Take rockjnr to Conwy Falls cafe after for a pizza he’ll be fine.

When I was riding at the weekend the rare Welsh puddle was nice, the legs got a bit of water to cool them down. I was hoping for a proper river crossing but it never came.

If Penmachno is wet I'd see it as a blessing in this weather!

Rode it yesterday and it was alright, few nice puddles to cool you down and a couple of bits of riding up a small stream but nothing major.
