I'm looking for ideas for road rides of approx 2-4 hours from the Tenby area.

I'll be riding a 'cross bike on 32mm touring tyres so a few dirt/gravel tracks would be fine too.

Thanks

Google the Tenby Aces. They're the local cycling club and are a friendly bunch who will be happy to help.

buy an OS map would be a good start, or buy the OS map app/ access and plot some routes/ save them before you go.

I have the OS map app on my phone/ and use from my pc to plot or download new routes and store on my phone which goes on the bars now. had a few enjoyable rides in pembs from st David's doing this, some nice quiet roads and reasonable bridleways there.

I'm capable of reading a map and of following my nose, which is what I did when I went to Cornwall and had some good rides.

There look to be some potentially good roads near the coast and inland, but I thought that somebody might be able to suggest some routes that they knew were good.

sorry, didn't mean to sound patronising ref the OS map.

the OS map app/ website does have rides uploaded that you can download to your device like you would a gpx. might be worth a look. its only £20 for premium access for a yr, that way you can take offline files of maps with you without having to buy maps/ tiles as an extra.

I usually have a good root about on the map on my screen, look for any routes and plot/plan a few to go onto my phone.

it does always help having. local contact, assuming they're into the same type of riding you are..

Not too many bridle paths around Tenby. Are you prepared to ride beaches and a bit of cheeky coast path?
