I give up searching for the above. Just how does that search system work? Anyway. Some how I've buggered my the rh pedal on a good set of cranks. Well the brother might have but I can't prove that ๐
Anyway from an engineering point of view its fixable but has anyone had real experience of doing so. Lots of shops say "ah yes sir you need a Helicoil" but whe it comes to finding one they all just suck their teeth. Before I have one manufactured at great expense does anyone know of a supply?
I suppose I could use this as an excuse to ditch the poxy external BB and crank but thats not really whats needed.
Any help?

We carry the inserts and the tool lives in the special tool drawer in the cabinet in the wor4kshop. If you're in devon, I can sort you out...
Devon isn't a million miles from the FoD. And a good excuse for a trip outwith the missus. She will think I am lovely. Contact details and price pleeeeeze. Ta lots.
Mattscm, email's in my profile, let's take this off-list.
We fit helicoils at the Glyncorrwg MTB centre in Afan.
They're not always a successful fix as the alloy in some cranks is very soft underneath the heat treated surface. My Hones were pretty poor and lasted about a month or so.
I've done others that are still going strong 3 years down the line.
sorted mine out fine FSA crank for what its worth, only concern now is dare i remove the pedal?
Excellent chaps. Many thanks.
