I'd best bring a full tool kit then. Being a pootle virgin, you can guarantee that if anything's going to go wrong, it'll go wrong for me!

Hello breakfast on the first climb 20 minutes later then...

Wouldnt be the worst thing I've done on a STW Peaks ride, I once stalled on jaggers clough (38t 1x9 gearing!) and pushed someoen off the edge!

NBT - Cheers, that would be grand- save me throwing a wobbly...

Thisisnotaspoon - if u spot a red vw transporter hiding in the corner of the car park tonight, that'll be me, pulling the same trick as you. A bacon sarnie at 9am would be wonderful, thankyou. Knock loudly...

The route's a closely guarded secret but about 15 miles, apparently. Or twelfty if you live round this neck of the woods.

Life; you bastard! I'm having to work (being grown up and self employed is no fun) enjoy. I can't even show off my new nichemonging kneebreaker. Sad day indeed.

Likely finish time - who knows, one of these has taken 6 hours before...

I'll point you in the direction of the Longdendale Trail, you'll like that. It's kind of very wide singletrack...

yes it is, and it's not cheap. You can park down at the end of the valley and ride down if you want to save some money

pook - i dont think you should post the route and keep the ride a magical mystery tour, plus it will stop everyone from moaning and trying to persuade you to change it! (but you can email it to me so i can plan a secret ambush!!)

I think the layby / car park just over 0.5km up the road to Upper Booth (and on to Jacobs Ladder) is free.

Yes it is.

But I reckon we as a responsible bunch of folks should put something back by paying the dollar.

Alternatively, I'm just never early enough to bag one of the 6 places!!!

Yep, I'd encourage those turning up early to spend the money they saved in either Coopers Cafe (up next to the post office in Edale) or the Penny Pot (next to the station) on breakfast.
