Saw one in a lbs yesterday, and looked great. It was a customers awaiting for collection so I couldn't take it for a spin.
What are peoples opinions of them? looking for something for general xc and the occasional enduro.

Not sure exactly, but had my 303 for almost 2 years now and its amazing. Seems a very light frame to me capable of a serious light weight build, and loads of fun to ride. For a hardtail for me, its just about perfect.

Not super light but good ride quality is what it's about.

I have read a lot of poor warranty service stories though.

Any good stories would be useful!

No good warranty, just no problems.

I had a 303 which was essentially the same as the 305.

It's a great frame and builds up into a nice bike with a 5" fork - not light but not silly heavy.

The ride is great too - excellent for trail centre type riding. Not overly harsh on the bumps or all day riding.

Mine cracked/broke around the weld that joins the seat tube to the top tube gusset thingy but I'm 6'5" and rode a 19" (L) one with A LOT of seatpost out - Pace had said that it would be ok when I asked before I bought it.

No problems with Pace replacing it under warrantee so I was happy enough with that. I sold the replacement as I reckon that the same would have happened again ( I really needed them to make an XL size ). I'd certainly recommend one though for more average sized people.
