Hi,

Looking for some good mtb routes around Oxford, bit bored of shotover now.
Does anyone know any good routes around boars hill, about 30km? or elsewhere in oxford?

Cheers

Getting the OS out and piecing together a route is probably the best way to sort out a 20 mile loop.

The Dreaming Tyres lot are out next Tuesday evening on Boars Hill if you want to come along. We alternate Boars Hill / Shotover on Tuesdays. Pace is mercilessly "social" though ๐Ÿ˜‰

What time do you normally leave and how long is the ride? I'll see if I can make it.
What lights do you use?

Cheers

Just to jump in here, I'm fairly new to the Oxford area and would love to join a club - has anyone got contact details for Dreaming Tyres?

Thanks!

gigles, Dreaming Tyres are not a club, just a collective of '20-40 somethings' who ride bikes a bit around Oxford and beyond. Email me and I can let you know details of where and when we'll be out next.

Bit of a resurrection but do Dreaming Tyres still ride and if so can I come play bikes please? I'm moving to Oxford in 2 weeks so want to get to know the area!

I'm with chvck, I recently started MTBing, live in Oxford so would like some people to ride with. chvck we can sort some things out if you like? I'm a newbie MTB'er so don't know many places but as mentioned above, shotover is fun unless you crash like myself last week. Also christmas commons and boars hill are quite good if you know where to look it seems.

Giggling with Dr_Bakes! exactly as he said a bunch of people who met via MTbing.. not a club .. however we did a get a 2nd place male SS solo 12 hour at BBF (PEdalhead please stand up!) and men's 4 came in 24th out of 90odd teams.. just some buddies messing about! Pedalhead and Dr_Bakes can pass on more info. I can rarely make the Tuesday night rides I'm about the weekend riding.
