Could you just confirm the rear dropout size/ type?

135mm x 9 QR?

Also sizing... I'm 6 foot tall. The 18" or 20", that do you think?

Thanks guys.

Oh, how pants is the fork? Going to abuse it over the winner and perhaps upgrade the fork in Spring.

Depends what your expectations are I guess. I've had mine over a year and done absolutely nothing with the fork, other than adjusting pressure, and it still goes up and down. Grips were crap, mind you.

I've no basis for comparison though, so will avoid waxing lyrical about its buttery smoothness, progressive post-modular damping over world class enduro courses or other nonsense...

EDIT: Oh yeah, I'm 5'9" and went with an 18" frame but have a nagging feeling I should have gone with a 20" instead

Really? Feels a little cramped on the 18?

At last I know the sizing for sure now then. 20" it is.

Thanks bud.

I will just run the fork into the ground I guess. Then look for a second hand Reba or such.

Got lots of spare grips in parts bin. Everyone seems to say the grips fall apart. That's a small niggle I can live with though.

Anyone set the wheels up tubeless by the way? ๐Ÿ˜€

I think the suntour was awesome. Just keep the seals lubed. I have however swapped it out for a Reba just because I had money to do so at the time.

I've also put deore 615s on and a reverb. I don't really rate the ardents. They are a cheap version and I think the grip is a bit pants in the wet. They will be the next upgrade.

The suntour is a straight steerer fyi. You can fit a tapered fork but need a new bottom cup on the head tube. Hope do one that fits a treat.

Yep - two layers of Gorilla tape, valves, sealant & TR High Rollers. The stock Ardents are seemingly a super-thin version that I just found too floppy to be able to inflate on their own, whereas the High Rollers went straight up with a track pump and Fairy Liquid.

Yep. Took a few layers of tape, but they went up in the end.
