You will by now have discovered that a trip out with a baby takes as much planning and equipment as a Himalayan expedition.
When your children are little, you are better than them at everything: cycling, football, reading, writing, computers, mathematics and anything else you could name. As they get older they get better, and there comes a time they catch up and then are better than you at everything, and this time it is for the rest of your life. From experience with children and grandchildren be aware that this happens at age 9 years. Make the best of your limited time.
