Leighton Buzzard Cycle Club. New to me, new to the area. The gumph says they knock out forty miles in two hours. I don't know why but it sounds odd to me? 20MPH is fast, but most club boys that knock out a 20MPH average ride further than forty miles, don't they?
Now maybe I'm being a bit cynical, but I'm expecting fast young guys that'll be on their knees after two hours.
Most established club rides that average 20MPH around here are out for nearer four hours. And the 20MPH plus riders nearer three hours.
Anyway hope they're a good bunch.

Just remember to half wheel everyone at the front.

I will be keeping mum about any past racing, just want to be another bloke with a bike. Luckily the hairs have almost grown back on my legs ๐Ÿ™‚

I find most roadies in clubs elitist, ignorant, dismissive and to be honest a bit boring, especially to new members, I am a roadie by the way..... ๐Ÿ˜‰

You'd better hope no-one from LBCC is reading this, sounds like they'll be obliged to try and rip your legs off!

Hmmm latest news on the site is the announcement that Sunday rides are canceled this weekend, unless the group wants to carry on without the usual group leaders.

Turned out to be a good ride. Only five of us, but all good riders. One guy I knew from last seasons cross.
So only a fledgling group, but bags of potential.
