anyone own an R8. show me your builds please, what do you think about them, and how heavy are they?
I had one, but, didn't get on with it. So sold it and bought a Salsa A la carte.
Much nicer imo.
The R8 ws a bit bland, didn't respond to my input in the way I hoped.
Weight of my 19" frame was 5 pounds something.
No photos, love mine, Hope everything and XT, DT Swiss forks, old style hand built wheels from Wheelcraft, Pro finishing kit, about 26lbs.
Number one bike round here. I'd have another. If you're worried about weight though you may be considering the wrong frame, but the reality is you need to look at yourself for what limits your MTBing performance, not your bikes weight i.e. don't upgrade, cycle up grades.
