Just got a second hand frame and wondering what a realistic weight will be to compare with my current pitch. Mine will be running a coil shock and use my xc wheels for climbing days and heavier wheels for DH/FR days.

I will be transferring all parts from this build.

What does your current bike weigh?
What does your current frame weigh?
What does the Orange Alpine 160 frame weigh?

From this you can work it out yourself.

I'm just wondering about average weights and how much people are willing to pedal uphill.

34.5lbs (weighted on reasonable luggage scales) with RP23, 36 Talas RLC, Reverb, 30spd XT, Time Z Control, Bonty FR3 & 4 tyres and Flow Hope Hoops.

Between tyres, seat post and pedals you could knock 2-3lbs off it without compromising it for UK use - as is it worked nicely in the Alps and pretty reasonably in the UK.

I have the original frame version (non tapered steerer), run 36 vans / rp23 / standard build basically after that - think its about 33lbs maybe lighter when I have normal tyres on it (ardent 2.4 folding)

Bagstard - The Alpine is 215 x 63 if I remember correctly.

It's the pitch that is 200 x 57.
