Can anyone recommend some tyres that blow up nice and big?
I fancy trying something other than the Bontrager 2.35 XR4's fitted to put on a trek remedy. They don't need to fold up or go tubeless, just need to look fat...or is it phat?
I'm not to worried about rolling resistance or weight (within reason) I do a lot of trail centre stuff and some big rocky descents over the the both yorks moors.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Surly Larry are massive, may not fit on your bike though
Maxxis Advantage 2.4"s are going at Merlin for £45 a pair with free freeride tubes, if you sign up for VIP discount (free). I'm a big fan of the tread pattern and you'll see a pair (2.25") on most of my riding group's bikes. I bought the 2.4s to make a rigid bike more comfortable and they really are huge.
I think Maxxis do a 2.7 Ardent.
2.4 rubber queens are reasonably big.
Bought some Maxxis off Merlin, and the tubes never come in wrong. Thanks Baldy
As above, 2.4" Rubber Queens are stonkingly mahoooooosive. And very good, too.
Has anyone tried the cheep Rubberqueens (non chilli compound, non folding, non ust) ?
They're not in stock anywhere but they RRP at about £12.00 seem like a bargain.
