What effects would i get from changing rear QR to a 10mm bolt through axle.
Is this possible on a Five and has anybody tried this.
Pics please.
Forgot to say I am running pro 2 hub

I did it with a 10mm axle and a superstar QR - there is bolt on and bolt through - someone will come along soon and tell you the differences.

I think the 10mm QR is bolt through and 10mm bolt on is an axle with threads in that you get some bolts to screw into.

You can just see a bit of it here:

I use a 10mm axle & and nut from an SX Trail, also needed to change my Pro2 hub axle tube to accept it, works a treat ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks. Is the difference noticable.
Been riding hardtail recently but when used 5 at weekend felt back end flexing.

I'm using a Hadley 10mm axle. It's noticeably lighter (and more expensive, unfortunately) than the Superstar axle. Requires a 6mm hex key, as not Q/R.

I have the Hope blot-through kit and a 10mm Superstar QR. Must admit I can't really tell the difference between this set up and a standad QR.
