Anyone else running a oneup dropper on their whytes? Just installed one and it scored the shaft just testing it in my garage, are these posts massively sensitive to clamp torque? Its scored right where the internal clamp is. I use carbon paste and slowly nip the bolt until I cant rotate the saddle, would be a few nm at most. On my reverb when it clamps tight it sticks, this seems to destroy itself 😆 ive discussed this with another owner who has exactly the same issue

Not that seen that before, I had a Reverb on my old T130C and it didn't do that and have two OneUp droppers now and standard clamps and not seen this. I hated the seat clamp on the Whyte all the same, it was such a pain to adjust correctly, even with a big helping of fibre grip.

Agreed the clamps are a pain to setup. Ive now got a replacement post so will see how I get on with this one. I've discussed it with oneup who say they have seen it before and its due to misaligned guide pin, I wanted to question the design of the clamp on the bike as its scored right where the clamp is but didn't want to incriminate myself. I made a post on one of rhe whyte Facebook pages and a few other owners had this, some with other brands of posts.
Plenty of carbon post at the ready and slowly nip the clamp till the saddle doesn't rotate and see what happens this time
