Aviemore and surrounding area would be a good alternative. Peebles does tick all the boxes though.

Just for an alternative, Fort William. Although the pubs can be a bit "local"!

If you do decide on Peebles, send me an e-mail, and I can give you some possible routes. Also, We go on a Wednesday night-ride.

Cheers. Peebles is looking the best bet for me. Not too far from the folks place (Durham). See you in summer.

Personally I don`t really bother about what somewhere is like if I am going biking so long as I get a decent bed. Although wife usually dictates we ar near a good shopping centre ๐Ÿ™„

Aviemore everytime!

If the missus has the use of a car there is plenty of shopping to be done at Inverness which is about 45mins from Aviemore on the A9.

For skills courses try:-
