A lazy day running down to Christmas at work, and happened to see this. Kind of cool.
Awesome!
I want one, but am guessing that a) the cost would be prohibitve and b) when would anybody actually ever really wear one?!
Leonard Carson, (39, and who still lives with his mother), an engineering technician for San Diego Composites, had been toying around with this idea of a carbon fiber Stormtrooper for a long time.
I would try to go to as many fancy dress parties I could 😉 Or hire myself out 😉
If it wasn't written, you could have guessed it surely ourmaninthenorth!
There'll be hordes of folk wearing those at Cannock Chase when this gets out.

It wasn't written. Well, not until I inserted it.
FFS chaps. Please no-one tell me you think this s--t is in any way cool (unless you're no older than 13)?
😉

Guy who works with us does just that. He is 6ft 2" and has a full (in white) storm trooper outfit which is very realistic.
What?! Of course it's cool!
If you don't get it you never will. I did say it was one for the Star Wars/Carbon Fibre fans, so the clue was in the title.
New design for a Troy Lee full face helmet I think.
I'd get one if I'd:
a)Could afford it
b)Think I'd still be married after getting one
c)
Some cool stuff on that website, but crazy expensive! Like the idea of carbon coasters, but not for £100, could just get some carbon from Fiber Lyte for less!
Schmolke used to do an epic 3k carbon fibre coffee cup with saucer and spoon!
Edit: yes please!

I'm going to make some CF spoons, after wwaswas joked about them/me the other day.
Now that really is going over to "The Dark Side"
that cup and saucer is the bollocks! who wouldnt like that.

I'm going to stick with steel. Sure, it's very heavy, and it conducts heat too much and burns my hands, but carbon teacups just have no soul man.
