Looking at getting an old 456 frame powder coated and having searched high and low on t'interwebs, wondered if anyone knew the RAL or Pantone reference for the classic On One pale blue colour please?

Also - can someone confirm that it's nothing like the same shade as a Man City shirt please, or I'll be choosing a different colour altogether...! ๐Ÿ™‚

I bet if you emailed dave or Steveo and asked nicely they would tell you - or alternately just pick your own

Yeah - I'll drop them a line. Just thought I'd save them from yet more of my inane questions and bother STW with them instead. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I might yet go for a different colour anyway - seems to depend which way the wind's blowing at the moment, but I'll have a look back through some of the powder coating threads on here for inspiration I think. I've just always fancied that colour on an On One though...

Wel... I did bother them (on a Sunday) and in spite of the 'don't answer this 'til Monday' subject line, Adrian got back to me almost straight away with Pantone refs and all sorts. Top stuff (from a top bloke) - as ever it seems when I have anything to do with Planet X / On One.

Only problem is that my powder coater's RAL refs can't really get too close to it (from their stock colours) so rather than not get it right, I've gone for an Olde English white sort of shade that should hopefully end up a pearlescent off white with the lacquer they're going to put on it. We'll see, but I'm looking forward to getting it back next week!

I think it is neither a RAL or pantone colour. I tried to match it when I was looking to touch it up but it didn't match any of the samples I had at work (I have the full range of both).

There are plenty that are close, so just pick one. I doubt ou'd notice unless you have two and put them next to each other.
