cant decide both from tod well... the on-one is nice and cheap meaning i can spend more money on parts but im tempted by the blue pig aswell 😥 i dont know what to do ❓
Well - you seem to like the look of the Ragley, judging by the other thread. That's a start!
Isn't the Ragley quite a bit lighter? The Summer has plain gauge tubes IIRC.
im struggling with the same thing but a normal 456 or a blue pig. The pig looks better and like its had a lot of thought gone into it but i cant quite get my head around the set up measurements and i know how a 456 rides also doesnt help that the same fella designed them lol so they may ride similar or poles apart 🙂 any one got any pix of their pig with size stem length post extension and their height to give me some pointers 🙂
i'm stuck with the same problem. i'm drawn to the summer season, cos it's nice and slack with 100mm forks.
to get the nice angles on a pig, you'll need 140mm forks.
(Brant was right about long-forks onna hardtail)
(and you can get some nice / good / cheap 100mm forks)
i would rather go with the blue pig but there more exspensive than the on-one what coulors do they come in?
I might go for a shedfire
get a pig, brilliant
Where do you got to get a pig?
mi©k- I personally think you should try something new otherwise its same old? Calderdale isnt too far from Leeds- you could have a test spin on one of Brants first?
PS. Is 7pm ok? Steve (bro in law) is coming up from Doncaster on his way home to Hudds.
yeah seven prob better with traffic mate your right i think a pig it is ive just found out chevin cycles do pigs so will give them a call 🙂
has anyone got an 18" blue pig i could have a go on around calderdale? for sizing etc..
Blazing Saddles have an 18in demo bike - though I think it's a Ti one - same geometry though.
ill have an ask i was going to buy the frame from there anyways
tom
what sort of spec is best on a blue pig? especially for xc/am/all day use?
no-nonsense stuff that doesn't break.
going to shop later 18 built up and 16 frame in stock 🙂
I know we're not Calderdale, but we have a 18" Pig built up for demo....
(all sizes in stock!)
Matthew
matthew does it cost to demo your bikes?
Taka I've got an 18" Blue Pig in black which I'm thinking of selling.
I'm around Calderdale if you want to have a look/ride.
p.m me if you're interested
also doesnt help that the same fella designed them lol so they may ride similar or poles apart
In the time since he designed the 456, do you think he'll have got better or worse at designing bikes? 😉
olie YGM
its decided mike ive a pig sat at the back of a shop waiting for me to pick up in the morning 🙂
Are you sure you don't need to ask Brant more questions on Twitter first? 😉
nice should have a hog ride someday 😉
mi©k, could you wind my bro in law up for me? Could you add in leaving 'oh dont forget you owe Mark still for the Goose'. That should redface him 😉
EDit- Its a Christmas day bit of poultry of course before anyone thinks its some sort of 'act' 🙄
no im out of them lol if id have spotted the standover straight away id ive known an 18 was way too big 🙂 ah well hes got a sale out of it lol
will do mate tho im baffled 🙂
Cheeky bugger text me and said 'picking up the frame is payment for me buying the Goose'.
Brant, wheres mi' comission? 😉
456 good. Pig better. Had both. Love Pig now.
😉
I had a 456 and it was good but my new blue pig is so much more fun to ride and also looks loads better. better pedaling efficiency cos of the reinforced BB and slightly more upright seat tube, which is defo a plus 🙂
got me a blue pig cheers V10 🙂
got one in too 🙂
No probs, should be with you tomorrow 😀
hora i hope you not gonna powder coat it pink lol 🙂
