Has anyone actually tried running a road crankset on the frame?

I know it states that it won't work due to the chainline, but invariably there's a little slack, that you take up with the preload. ...we're only talking perhaps 2mm max.

I'd genuinely like to buy one, but don't want to change all my DA7900 gubbins...

Is it just chainline or are there clearance issues for the larger 50t chainring?

Owners comments appreciated.

Also what size? I've seen Brant comment that for my height (6'), it should be 56cm, but that's a 55cm TT, whereas the 58cm is a 57cm...i'm massively confused.

Help?!

Yeah, I read that before posting, but it seemed to be a lot of people moaning about it, without actually having tried anything at all...

When you're selling something, it's best to cover yourself, and say what's not recommended...but not recommended dones't mean not possible 🙂
