wanting to swap the bars and stem on my Carbon 456 18" and tempted by the Corto stem at 35mm, currently have a 50mm stem but just wondering if 35mm is too short.
Use the bike for everything, but it's set up more for the downhills.
Anyone use a 35mm stem?
Cheers

Not really a useful reply, but I find my 50mm on my C456 makes my bike twitchy enough on the uphill. Couldn't imagine a 35mm.

35mm and 750mm bars for me ok with a fork over 140mm, 68 deg head angle

Cheers for the replies folks. Currently don't find the 50mm stem twitchy at all, but maybe the 35mm would be a step too far (or short).
Would be matched with some 785mm or 800mm wide bars, 150mm Revs with along with a Works -1* slackset.

Cheers Brant, I'm loving the Carbon 456 with the slackset so far. It's a great all rounder and absolutely flies on technical singletrack and downhill stuff. While you're here Brant, is there any plans on different dropouts (12mm bolt through, Syntace or Maxle)?

Yes. I'll get cracking on a through axle set shortly. I think we'll offer a 142mm set, with an axle and nut.

35mm stem with 780mm bars on my rather slack Ragley Blue Pig.

Bloody ace!
