I can't see how ive got it wrong but the screws aren't long enough to but up to the end of my dropouts so are no use at all.

It's a Spesh P3 frame with SS dropouts and the qr is near to the end to get tension but still 5mm or so of drop out left.

they work fine on on-ones which have loooong dropouts, the ones on the P3 are tiny and quite a few designs of chain tensioners prob wouldnt work.

i've done that already but they're still 3 or 4mm short, do you have any longer bolts?

No - but they're just M4 threaded bolts - B&Q can sort you out.

not enough give for that either, i could get a half link i suppose but that's more expense.
