Heading off for a bike ride next weekend and thought I'd sort my phone out as a back up route map...got Anquet OMN installed and got the map tiles downloaded.
On the PC version of the map, I've also got the GPX file showing...I've synced this up to the Anquet Cloud, so how do I get this updated to show as a route on my phone - it is more as a pointer whilst on the ride to make sure my map reading skills aren't as bad as I think they could be!
Anquet 2.3.10.6 on Android if that helps. I've synced the device with all My Maps, but the route part isn't showing and I can't find anyway of searching for routes.
Bloody technology has finally got the better of me!
Load app
Press little 'i' icon in bottom left corner
Sweep the screen that appears left
Sweep left again
Press the sync icon, second on left at bottom
Routes will sync from cloud
Press the icon to the right of the sync icon
Select the route file
Press map icon bottom left
The app like most gps based ones uses a lot of battery so when I use it I only turn the gps on every so often to give a location rather than track the whole route
Thanks for the info...tried that and it hasn't worked. I'd loaded the gpx file on to the pc and saved it then synced the route.
Unsure why it hasn't come down...
Sorted...I had to open the route again. Awesome stuff...thanks very much for the info.
I'm only going to be using it to get a semi accurate position whilst out on the trail to confirm I'm still on the route - if my map reading fails.
This is a backup so hopefully no issues.
You need to save the file. You have imported the gpx but it needs to be saved as the OMM format, so try save as icon on the pc after you have imported, a box pops up, save it as something, then resync, then download on phone.
Try that
edit - Glad is sorted, is good software but the user guide is non existant
